Surface cleaning prototype

I am planning to develop a device to chemically activate glass surfaces, which is a crucial step in many of my projects that require pristine glass. After cleaning a glass surface, it can be activated using corona discharges in air. This process alters the surface chemistry of the glass, making it highly hydrophilic, meaning water spreads easily on it. I have conducted several preliminary tests that confirm the effectiveness of this method in changing the surface energy of the glass.

As shown in the pictures, the proposed device will incorporate a sharp metal blade. The images also reveal faint corona discharges occurring during the process. Additionally, the device will feature a sample carrier mounted on a rail, ensuring precise and consistent activation of the glass surfaces.
