I have always been intrigued by the idea of creating my own artificial biotope. When the opportunity arose, I was hired by MicroSpir to develop various bioreactor prototypes for the automated cultivation of spirulina. This project allowed me to turn my interest into a practical application, focusing on optimizing the conditions for efficient spirulina growth through advanced bioreactor design.
As this were the first working prototypes for intensive work in laboratories, I packed them with a huge amount of sensors, controls and pumps ... the prototypes were filled.
These prototypes allowed autonomous growth, assisted filtering and sampling of fresh spirulina.
